Meditation & Prayer

Prayer for Protection

The Light of God surrounds you;
The Love of God enfolds you;
The Power of God Protects You;
The Presence of God watches over you.
Wherever you are, God is.

Prayer is First

Unity is built on the foundation of prayer and meditation. Prayer is putting God first, looking to God for guidance and for every good thing.  Unity practices two types of prayer–Affirmative Prayer and Meditative Prayer. Affirmative prayer is speaking words of Truth and Power.  Meditative Prayer is resting in the silence and the awareness of God.  Scripture refers to this type of prayer as ‘touching the hem of the garment’.

Silent Unity (1-800-669-7729) is available for every prayer request. We pray with faith in the goodness of God, affirming good for all who ask for prayer. We believe that God loves each of us and God’s will for us is only good.

One-to-one prayer is available every Sunday after the 11:00 A.M. service at the front of the sanctuary.

Prayer Request Forms are available in the lobby and may be placed in the prayer box. In case of an emergency, the Prayer Team can be put into action by phoning the church at 918-587–7201 and leaving your message. The prayer team will hold your request in prayer, with you, for thirty days. At the end of thirty days, they are sent to Silent Unity and placed in the Prayer Tower for another thirty days.

If you are a member of this congregation and you or a member of your immediate family desires a home or hospital visit, please contact the church office at 918 -582-6624. We will be happy to set up a visit as soon as possible.
