Sacred Service

When you offer your time and talent in service to others, it is always sacred.

Welcome Team

Unity is an inclusive community, and the welcome team serves as greeters and ushers for Sunday morning services to make sure everyone feels part of the UCOT family.

Hospitality Team

Fellowship is a mainstay of the UCOT experience. Snacks and beverages are available between the morning lesson and the service, then again after each service. Here you can share time with friends and make new ones.

Several Sundays a year the congregation stays after service and brings potluck dishes for a Unity feast.

Platform Hosts

Sunday Services require thought and preparation to provide a time for spiritual connection. A team of platform assistants shares the responsibility with the senior minister to guide the thoughts of those assembled in the sanctuary or watching online.

Platform assistants present various sections of the service, including the Daily Word reading, comments on the Unity basic principles, making announcements, and setting the tone for offerings and other duties.

Platform assistants receive coaching from Donna Beth Ingersol, who directs the Unity Players.

UCOT Unity Players

The Unity Players present spoken word readings as part of the Sunday services. It’s a great activity to learn how to use the voice to project meaning and passion. No previous vocal training is required. Learn more about Unity Players.

Road Trips

Unity members like to go, see, and do together. Several times a year, especially in the spring and fall, a volunteer will organize a group trip to take in local and regional attractions. In the past road trips have included visits to the Philbrook, a Tulsa Drillers baseball game, the Cherokee Heritage Center, the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art, and the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas.
